Say Ahhh! We headed back East to get our annual Christmas checkups. Dr. Rebekah got us ready for Christmas with ear, nose and throats exams and some much needed splinter removal. Ooooh Owww!

It was great to see family and friends. Our schedules are generally pretty open here in Roswell, so we packed in as much action as we could while in Maryland and Ohio. Our priorities: Food, Family, and Friends (not necessarily in that order.) Our first stop was a stay with Wendy and Elliott in MD. Here David and his mom try out the family resemblance.

We soaked up Philly like a sponge with Dan and Elizabeth, who knew all the best places to get Vegetarian fake meat (mmmm...Govinda's faux Philly Cheese Steak) and filled us in on the fascinating traditions of the Mummers.

A visit to the Mutter Museum was indeed "Disturbingly Informative." As the website reads "The highlight...is a huge human colon, removed after death from a 29 year old man in 1892." How could we resist?

Oh, but we weren't done yet! A day trip to D.C. for art, friends, and Ethiopian food. Then a stay with the Politzers and a visit with friends Sherry and Cyd. Lastly, we wrapped up Maryland with a full-on parental dinner when my folks came to retrieve us to Ohio.

We spent a week with my fam in Ohio. Not as much traveling around in Akron, but plenty of action, since my niece kept all of us on our toes. David and I stayed with my sister and her husband and it was great to spend so much time with all of them. I hadn't seen Rebekah in 6 months but we bonded right away. She is non-stop action, and so much fun (when she isn't scared of the owl in her bed...don't ask!) It was a great visit and we returned to Roswell a bit fatter but ready to pounce back into our studios. And get back to dry weather and sunshine!

Rob gives some assistance.

Hooray for blocks!

Looks like you guys had a fulfilling trip. Rebekah is quite the cutie pie. Also, your ole' pops Ralph there with that other little cutie pie (not sure who Jessica belongs to) is a Saturday Evening Post moment. So precious :)
