I sprinkled some bird seed on our back patio to attract the ground feeders (since no birds were attracted to the hanging feeder). Yesterday we saw a covey of quail zip around the side of the house and peck up all the cracked corn from the seed mix. I spread more seed out and they were back this morning. I think I counted at least 30. They are really funny to watch.
